
JACKSON, Tenn. – The Lane College volleyball team hosted the SIAC West Cluster this weekend and the Dragons picked up two wins over conference rivals Tuskegee and Miles.
The two wins move the Dragons to 6-8 in conference play and are now tied for 3rd in the SIAC West Division.
After falling to the Tigers in their first matchup earlier this season, Lane battled their way to a five-set victory over Tuskegee on Friday.
Anayah Goss and Jadyn Powell led the way with 14 kills each in the win while Shaniah Jones registered 28 assists.
Kyra Gaston finished with 16.0 points including nine kills and five blocks.
Lane avenged another earlier season loss with a dominate, 3-0 victory over Miles College.
Gaston again led the way with 18.5 points with 15 kills. Jones was steady again at the setter position, picking up 28 assists in the victory.
The Dragons will host Arkansas Tech University on Tuesday night inside J.F. Lane Gymnasium. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 PM.
