
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – In the final game of their collegiate career, this highly decorated senior class led the Lane College football team to victory over Linclon University.
Senior running back Ike Brown paced the ground attack for Lane, finishing with 17 carries for 152 yards (9.0 avg) and one touchdown.
Wide receiver Anthony Evelyn did what he has done his whole career, produce explosive plays. The senior from Atlantic Beach, Fla. scored on touchdown passes of 60 and 21 yards, wrapping up his time with Lane having caught 177 passes for 2,464 yards and and 21 touchdowns.
He added another 2,239 return yards and four return touchdowns over his career, along with 269 rushing yards and one touchdown. His 4,703 career all-purpose yards ranks him at the top in Lane football history.
Jeremiah Brown led the way on defense, finishing with 10 total tackles and a pass break up. Tyshun Gaiter had nine tackles and an interception while Robert Brown had six tackles along with 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack.
NyJal Johnson had his best day of the season. The junior college transfer finished 7-for-9 for 196 yards and three touchdowns.
