Lane Football Earns Most SIAC Selections In Program History

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2024 Football All-SIAC teams and individual honorees on Tuesday, as voted by the conference’s head coaches and sports information directors.

Lane earned seven positions on the all-conference team, the most ever in school history.

Anthony Evelyn picked up three selections, also a school record, after being named second team wide receiver, punt returner, and kick returner.

Evelyn led the SIAC in all-purpose yards with 1,480. The senior added eight total touchdowns.

For the second time in his career, Ike Brown was named first team at running back. Brown led the league in yards per carry (6.3) and was second in rushing yards (711).

Robert Brown was first team at defensive line after finishing first in the SIAC in tackles for loss (14.5) and fourth in sacks (8.5).

Xavier Heard was picked second team offensive lineman. Heard anchored a unit that was second in the conference in rushing yards (1,535).

Jeremiah Brown rounded out the selections at defensive back. The senior wrapped up his final campaign with 49 tackles and two pass deflections.
