JACKSON, Tenn. – Led by a career-high 26 points from freshman Judson Bjornstad, the Union University men’s basketball team downed the Auburn Montgomery Warhawks 102-85 on Saturday afternoon in the Fred DeLay Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs used a 10-minute, 34-14 run in the first half to establish rigid control of the game and led by 32 with just over six minutes to play before emptying the bench.
Bjornstad’s six three-pointers were the most in a game by a Bulldog this season. He finished 6-8 from behind the arc and 10-12 overall.
Joining Bjornstad in double-figures were Devaki Garr (18), Jeremiah Littlepage (15) and Parker Applegate (14). Garr, Applegate and Isaiah Victor sunk three longballs apiece on a night when Union made its most threes of the season and since January 2024. The Bulldogs went 16-37 (.432) from three, including 13-24 (.542) in the first half.
The Bulldogs will return to action next weekend when they play at West Alabama on Thursday and Alabama Huntsville on Saturday.
