
MURRAY, Ky. – The University of Tennessee at Martin rifle team completed its 2024-25 season Saturday when it fired a 4640 at the annual NCAA Qualifier at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range in Murray, Kentucky. The Skyhawks began the day by firing a 2301 in smallbore, followed by 2339 in air rifle to finish day.
Joey Kovach set a new career mark in air rifle in the match at 589, while Rachel Haines set new personal bests in smallbore and aggregate scoring at 568 and 1139, respectively.
Sadie Palfrey led UT Martin in smallbore with a 580 and was followed by Alyana Walther at 577 and Aubrey Chenoweth at 575. In air rifle, Kovach’s 589 was tops for the Skyhawks, while Palfrey and Chenoweth both fired a 587. Palfrey finished the day with a team-high aggregate of 1167 and was followed by Chenoweth at 1162.
