JACKSON, Tenn. – In an exciting offensive showcase, the Lane College Dragons powered past Kentucky State with a 116-81 victory on Monday night at J.F. Lane Gymnasium.

The game was an offensive explosion, with both teams shooting over 45% from the field. Lane came out strong, shooting 61.3% in the first half, including 44.4% from three-point range. They took a 53-41 lead into halftime, and continued their dominance in the second half, shooting an impressive 69.4% from the field and 87.5% from the free-throw line.

Leading the way for Lane was Elijah Greer Dawson, who had a standout performance with 30 points on 12-of-17 shooting, 6 rebounds, and 12 assists. He also went 6-of-7 from the free-throw line. Rico Sain II also had a brilliant outing, contributing 30 points, including 6 three-pointers on 8 attempts, while adding 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

Lane’s offensive balance and fast-paced style were too much for Kentucky State to handle. The Dragons dominated fast break points, outscoring the Thorobreds 34-29, and also capitalized on turnovers, scoring 31 points off Kentucky State’s mistakes. In the paint, Lane controlled the boards and scored 52 points inside, making it difficult for Kentucky State to contain their aggressive offense.
