The Sports731 Network is proud to announce Joe Holloway and Daniel Hodges as the official broadcast team for the Peabody Golden Tide during the 2025 high school football season.

Joe Holloway will handle play-by-play duties in his first season with the Sports731 Network, bringing more than five decades of experience in coaching and broadcasting to the booth. A Jackson native and Union University graduate, Holloway has worked as both a play-by-play announcer and color commentator for TSSAA Division I and II basketball, NAIA women’s basketball, and local high school football and basketball games for more than 50 years. He once coached a TSSAA girls basketball game and then called the boys game solo on-air—a rare feat believed to be unmatched in Tennessee high school sports history. Over the years, he has worked alongside broadcast legends and has been a regular voice at the NAIA National Tournament.

In addition to his broadcasting résumé, Holloway had an extraordinary coaching career in Madison County, with a 540–286 record as a head basketball coach. His teams made multiple state tournament appearances and earned national recognition, including a USA Today ranking. He is a recipient of the TSSAA Distinguished Service Award and A.F. Bridges Award, has been named District Coach of the Year nine times, and has been honored on multiple occasions by local media outlets. Holloway has taught and coached nearly every high school sport except wrestling, soccer, and bowling, and continues to be a respected figure in Tennessee athletics. “I think I was born to be a coach,” Holloway once said. “And now I’m excited to bring that same passion to the broadcast booth, calling the game with a teacher’s eye and a love for Friday night football.”

Returning to the booth for his second season as Peabody’s color commentator is Daniel Hodges. Hodges played for Peabody and was a member of one of the school’s many state championship teams during his time in Trenton. Known for his deep knowledge of the program and passion for Golden Tide athletics, Hodges brings valuable insight and perspective to each broadcast. His growing presence on the local sports scene makes him an ideal complement to Holloway in the booth.

“We’re excited to see the chemistry grow between Joe and Daniel this season,” said Rusty Ellis, Sports Director of the Sports731 Network. “Daniel made impressive strides in his first season under the headset in 2024, and pairing him with a seasoned veteran like Joe gives Golden Tide fans a broadcast team they can really connect with.”

Together, Holloway and Hodges will lead the coverage of Peabody football this fall as part of the Sports731 Network’s continued mission to showcase West Tennessee athletics. Fans can follow every snap on the Peabody Golden Tide Football Facebook page, the Sports731 Network X account, and Sports731.com.
