A season for the record books has come to an end in Medina for the South Gibson County Baseball Team. While falling in back to back games including Wednesday’s 13-3 loss to Tennessee High School, was not the end goal, the 2023 South Gibson Baseball Team has many things to hang it’s hat on. The program set a new school record for wins with 30. Jack Brafa made history as the first Division I signee in the program’s history when he signed with Tennessee Tech in November. The program won it’s first sectional home game and won a regional and sectional game in the same season for the first time. To cap it off, the Hornets returned to Murfreesboro for the Class 3A State Tournament for the 2nd straight year. While this season set many new records, there is no doubt the future is bright in Medina.
