Baseball can be a brutal game. Riding high after winning their first two games in the Class 3A State Tournament, Dyer County entered Thursday’s game with Upperman so close to the State Championship game, they could almost taste it. But back-t0-back narrow defeats at the hands of the Bees, spoiled the Choctaws run for glory. While the ending of this season will leave a bitter taste in the mouth’s of the Dyer County players, the program did make a return to Murfreesboro for the first time in 9 years, providing hope for a bright future in Choctaw Nation.
