Union Women’s Soccer Drops First Conference Match

JACKSON, Tenn. – Union women’s soccer drops their first conference game in Sunday afternoon match versus Mississippi College 1-0. Union drops to 3-3-1 (2-1 GSC) while Mississippi College improves to 3-2-1 (2-2 GSC).

Union honored Hannah PattersonGrace RodriguezClaire MaxonVictoria Seymour, and Cora Eisman as the senior class of the 2023-24 Lady Bulldogs.

The Lady Choctaws jumped out to an early lead following a goal from Margherita Giubilato in the 2′. The Lady Bulldogs were able to get four shots on goal (Claire Maxon 2, Sophie Walsh 1, Bethany Guinness 1), yet none found the back of the net.

Rylee Iorio was a bright spot for the Lady Bulldogs defense with 7 saves.

The Lady Bulldogs next matchup will be September 29th in Carrolton, Georgia to take on the University of West Georgia.
