– Carson Howell’s brilliant senior season continued as the Tigers improved to 4-3 with their 2nd straight win. Howell racked up 282 total yards (201 passing/81 rushing) to guide Bolivar past a tough Hawks defense. Howell added 3 INTs on defense.

Crockett County 27, Obion County 7
– Caden Greenhill led the Cavaliers with 105 rushing yards and 2 scores as Crockett County knocked off the visiting Rebels to snap a two-game slide. After the teams traded scores in the first quarter, Crockett pulled away with 20 unanswered points. Hamilton May rushed for 95 yards and a score to go with 104 passing yards to lead Obion County.
Dresden 31, Union City 28
– In a thrilling and evenly matched contest that lived up to it’s billing between 2 of 1A football’s best teams, German exchange student Paul Eetzou played the hero for the Lions to keep Dresden’s unbeaten mark unscathed. Eetzou kicked a 25 yard field goal on the game’s final play to cap a wild Region 7-1A matchup that featured 4 ties throughout the night. The game-winner capped a clutch final drive for the Lions, as they marched down the field with 3:33 to play, including a key Cameron Schlicht to Nick Turnbow 30-yard completion to set up the final field goal. Tristan Jett racked up 183 all-purpose yards(109 rushing/74 recieving) and 3 rushing TDs, while Schlicht racked up 267 total yards(186 passing/81 rushing) with a scoring toss to Turnbow to lead the Lions. Keaten Brown led Union City with 123 yards rushing, 2 rushing TDs and 1 passing TD, while Teyhari Jones racked up 95 total yards (73 rushing/22 recieving) .

Hardin County 35, Chester County 3
– Carter Smith turned in one of his best performances of the season as the Tigers remained unbeaten with a road region win at Chester County. Smith threw for 368 yards and 3 scores, while Cam Haymon added 94 yards and 2 TDs on the ground. Hardin County is 7-0 for the 3rd time in 4 years as they prepare to host Haywood next week.

Henry County 45, Portland 13
– Caden Marshall and Evan Richardson helped spearhead the Patriots to a big win on the road. In all Henry County racked up 280 yards rushing.
Houston County 34, Bruceton 7
Huntingdon 22, Riverside 15
– Despite the Panthers outgaining the Mustangs 229-191, it was home team coming away with an enormous region win. Huntingdon rushed for 157 yards as a team, while Stone Wallace rushed for 98 yards and threw 2 TD passes to lead the visitors.
Jackson Christian 35, FACS 7
– For the 2nd straight week, Jackson Christian entered a matchup of unbeatens. And for the 2nd straight week, the Eagles thrashed their opponent. Austin Kelly found his favorite target Jay’Len Mosley for 5 scoring passes as Jackson Christian improved to 7-0 for the first time since 1996 when the Eagles started off the season 8-0. The Eagles head into their bye week, before hosting Lake County on October 13.

– Calvin Mullins powered Lake County to their 4th straight victory, as he rushed for 318 yards and 5 TDs to give the Falcons a big region win, improving their region record to 4-1 on the season. The Falcons travel to Jackson Christian on October 13.
Lexington 56, Manassas 6
– The Tigers earned their second straight victory behind big rushing performances from Amarion Arnold and Marquin Holland. Arnold rushed for 126 yards and 3 scores, while Holland added 101 yards and 2 more TDs to improve Lexington to 3-4 on the season.

Milan 31, Adamsville 28
– Milan bounced back in region play to pick up a home victory over visiting Adamsville. Carmelo Jones rushed for 134 yards and a score while Will Johnson connected with Carson Pruitt for 2 TDs to lead the Bulldogs. Terrence Moss contributed in special teams for Milan with a 97 yard kickoff return for a TD. Ben Hill led the Adamsville attack with 202 passing yards and 2 TDs, while Dylan Beach added 94 yards on the ground with another score.

– Peabody picked up a key region win as the knocked off Camden in a wild shootout. Issac Moore led Camden with 126 rushing yards and 2 scores, to go along with a 94 yard Kickoff Return TD.

– The Red Devils picked up right where they left off last week to pick up a big region win on the road. South Fulton rushed for 259 yards to jump on the Yellow Jackets early and cruise to the victory. Dallas Whitehead rushed for 131 yards and a score, while Brady McFarland added 76 rushing yards, 94 passing yards, and 3 passing TDs. Trey Maben led Greenfield with 177 rushing yards and 3 TDs.
