
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Union University men’s cross country team posted a fourth place finish at the Chili Pepper (Prairie Fire Pepper) Race. The event was the first of two men’s events hosted by the University of Arkansas and featured 31 teams and 271 runners.
Union was fourth with an average time of 27:50, while UT Dallas won the event with a time of 27:10. Southwest Baptist was second and Minot State was third. Fellow GSC foe Christian Brothers finished 15th.
Ryan Keeton led Union with an 11th place finish and a time of 27:01. Union’s Micah Winn finished 30th (27:38), Tristan Kelly 38th (27:51), Caleb Cook 54th (28:20), Benjamin Blackwood 56th (28:22), Riley Garrison 107th (29:53), Steven Hirte 162nd (31:44), and William Craig 168th (32:43).
Up next for Union will be the Alabama Huntsville Invitational at John Hunt Park, October 7 at 8 a.m.
