BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Sophomore University of Tennessee at Martin specialist Aidan Laros was rewarded for his strong performance against Charleston Southern last weekend by being named Big South-OVC Football Association Specialist of the Week for the second time this season.

Laros, a native of Cape Town, South Africa, played a big role in the Skyhawks Homecoming victory by scoring five of the team’s 17 points while flipping the field in the punt game. Then as the punter, he booted five attempts for an average of 49.0 yards. While he had three punts of 50 yards or more, his best punt of the season came in the third quarter when launched a 70-yard attempt which ranked tied for the sixth longest in program history.

For the season, Laros leads the FCS with 48.0 yards per attempt in just 34 tries.
