
JACKSON, Tenn – Union defeats Shorter University on the road to improve to 4-21 overall (3-7 GSC). Shorter’s record falls to 5-17 overall (1-10 GSC).
Union’s Women’s Volleyball team finds themselves back in the win column following a Wednesday night victory in Rome, Georgia. Union won by a score of 3-1 (25-22, 25-18, 25-23, 25-18). After finding themselves behind following the first set, Union swept the final three to secure the victory.
Union led shorter in service aces (11-6), blocks (8-3), assists (45-42), and digs (60-58). As a team Union hit .214 versus Shorter’s .142 hitting percentage.
Vanja Stefanovic and Jordan Moore shared a team-best 11 kills. Lauren Burrell and Davey Slaughter shared the team lead in service aces with 4 and digs with 18. Gracie Tacker led Union in assists with 21.
