JACKSON, Tenn.—On Oct. 31, the Union University volleyball team defeated Christian Brothers University 3-2 (25-22, 25-16, 23-25, 10-25, 15-12). Union’s record improves to 5-22 overall (4-8 GSC) while Christian Brothers drops to 2-22 overall (1-11 GSC).
Hannah Hampel led Union with 11 kills in the match. She also had .381 hitting percentage. Reese Owens collected seven kills of her own, along with one ace and 18 digs. Gracie Tacker had the most assists in the match with 18. Ashley Pruitt followed close behind with 17 assists of her own. Jordan Moore led in blocks with four.
Next up for the Lady Bulldogs is a road matchup against Mississippi College on Nov. 2 at 6:00 p.m.
