Trio Of Union Women’s Soccer Players Earn Academic All-District Honors

JACKSON, Tenn. – Rylee IorioClaire Maxon, and Madison Woolridge of the Union women’s soccer program earn Academic All-District Honors, voted by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

The 2023 Academic All-District Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Iorio, a 5-foot-6 goal keeper set the record for saves in a career this past season (307 saves). Iorio started 17 games for the Lady Bulldogs this past season. She accumulated 1,468 minutes in the net, 89 saves, .809 save percentage, and five shutouts. Iorio was also named Second Team All-GSC.

Maxon, a 5-foot-9 forward, played in all 18 games for the Lady Bulldogs this season. Maxon was on the pitch for 983 minutes and recorded one goal, one assists, and 15 shots on goal.

Woolridge, a 5-foot-5 forward, played in all 18 games for Union recording six goals and 16 shots on goal.
