BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – University of Tennessee at Martin women’s basketball guard Kenley McCarn garnered her fourth Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Week honor this season after a pair of strong performances on the road against Little Rock and Western Illinois.

A native of Melbourne, Ark., McCarn helped the Skyhawks go 3-1 on their four-game road trip while averaging 20.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. She was highly effective from the field, knocking down 58.6 percent of her field goal attempts while cashing in on 6-of-8 three-point tries.

In her third trip to her home state of the season, she scored a game-high 23 points in the team’s road win at Little Rock – making 10-of-14 shot attempts – while adding five rebounds, two steals, an assist and a block. Then on Saturday afternoon, she added 17 points, five assists and four rebounds at Western Illinois.

McCarn has now won six OVC Freshman of the Week honors – including a pair during her redshirt season in 2022-23. The team will now look to translate their success on the road, into a home court advantage when playing first place Southern Indiana on Thursday, Feb. 15.
