MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Taylor Lattimore led Lane with 14 points as the Dragons completed the season sweep of rival LeMoyne-Owen on Saturday night.

A back-and-forth contest in the first half turned into a rout in the second half. Both teams swapped the lead six times through two periods and saw the score tied eight times.

Brailyn Tate hit a jumper with under a minute left in the first half, and the Dragons never trailed again, stretching the lead to 15 points en route to a 61-46 victory.

The Dragons outscored the Magicians 21-5 in fast break points, taking advantage of most of LeMoyne-Owen’s 16 turnovers. Lane once again dominated the paint, outscoring the hosts 30-20 down low.

Tate ended with 11 points and Breonna Carey added 11 points and five rebounds.

Lane will host an exhibition on Tuesday night against Arkansas Baptist at J.F. Lane Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
