Union Women’s Basketball’s Shanique Lucas Named To D-II CCA All-Region First Team

JACKSON, Tenn. – Union University graduate student Shanique Lucas was named the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA) All-Region first team. This was the second such honor for her career.

Lucas, a 5-foot-8 guard from Papua New Guinea, led Union with 12.3 points per game and added 4.3 boards per game. She shot 50 percent from the field and 32 percent from long range. Lucas was also named first-team All-GSC and GSC All-Tournament for the fourth time in her career. Lucas is a member of the GSC Honor Roll and GSC All-Academic performer.
