BOLIVAR, Tenn. — Bolivar Central High School has found their next head football coach. The Tigers officially announced the hiring of Rennard Woodmore Thursday afternoon.

“I feel like it was a perfect match for me, and I was a perfect match for them,” said Woodmore. “Knowing the athletic potential that Bolivar has, it was a no brainer for me.”

Woodmore met the team at Bolivar for the first time Wednesday. His immediate attention for the program will be in the weight room and getting players into physical shape for the season.

“We’re not going to worry about the results,” said Woodmore. “When you’re process driven, you meet those goals you’ve set for yourself. We always talk about eating an elephant one bite at a time. If you look up and look at the whole elephant, you’ll get sick. But if you keep your head down and take small bites at a time, you’ll look up and see the progress.”

A product of Trousdale County, Woodmore spent the last 5 seasons as the head coach at Scotts Hill. He previously served as the defensive coordinator at Adamsville for 13 years.
