Union Baseball Drops Midweek Contest to Mississippi College

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Union University baseball team traveled to Clinton, Mississippi for a midweek matchup with Mississippi College. The Bulldogs fell by a final score of 7-6 to the Choctaws.

The Bulldogs threw five different arms in the loss. The pitching staff allowed seven runs on eight hits and an error. Alex Johnson and Ethan Orwig each threw a clean inning, combining to strike out three Mississippi College batters.

Dyllon Barrett shined for the Bulldogs offensively, collecting four hits in five plate appearances. Barrett hit his first career homer as a Bulldog and drove in two runs in his impressive offensive showing. Grant Ross collected three more hits in the game versus the Choctaws. Mitch Sisk hit safely twice. Canyon Pace also doubled home a run in the midweek contest. Ross, Sisk, and Pace combined for four runs batted in.
