UT Martin Men’s Basketball Signs Filip Radaković To 2024-25 Roster

MARTIN, Tenn. – Filip Radaković has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the University of Tennessee at Martin men’s basketball program, Skyhawk head coach Jeremy Shulman announced today.

A 6-7, 190-pound freshman guard/forward out of Belgrade, Serbia, Radaković is the 12th newcomer set to join UT Martin for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

“We are really excited about Filip,” said Shulman, who was appointed as the 13th head coach in Skyhawk men’s hoops history on March 27. “He comes to us as a highly touted playmaker who didn’t just play but started and logged important minutes for the Serbian national team, matching up against some of the best players in the world in his age class.”

Radaković brings extensive international experience to UT Martin as he has appeared in 18 games against elite competition over the past three summers. He averaged 8.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists over seven contests at the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup in 2023 after averaging 8.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists in six games at the 2022 FIBA U18 European Championship. He also chipped in 8.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in five contests at the FIBA U18 European Challengers event held in 2021.

In the 2023 FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup held in Hungary, Radaković went off for 20 points (on 6-of-10 shooting), five rebounds and four assists against Japan. He also added 10 points, four rebounds and two steals against Korea in the tournament’s Round of 16.

Radaković helped the Serbian National Team to a bronze finish at the FIBA U18 European Championship held in Turkey. His best two games came in the group phase against Slovenia (21 points on 8-for-10 shooting, 10 rebounds) and Greece (17 points, eight rebounds). He also snagged 11 rebounds in a rematch against Slovenia in the third-place game and swiped four steals against Spain in the tournament semifinals.

Radaković scored in double figures three times in five opportunities at the 2021 FIBA U18 European Challengers tournament, including 12 points against both Germany and North Macedonia. He also collected 10 points against Georgia at the event held in Turkey.

This past season, Radaković played for the OKK Beograd and Borac WWin Banja Luka organizations after suiting up for KK Mladost MaxBet Zemuni in the Serbian KLS league in 2022-23. He additionally played for Crvena Zvezda in the Serbian League in 2022-23 and competed for the Crvena Zvezda MTS Belgrade 2nd team in 2023, helping his squad to the ABA U19 League championship that season. He prepped at Prva Sportska Kosarkaska Gimnazija Koledz Beograd.

Radaković joins returning senior forward David Kamwanga as well as redshirt sophomore forward Lamine Niang (Cal State Northridge), junior forward Stefano Faloppa (Monroe College), junior guard Tarence Guinyard (Florida State College at Jacksonville), junior guard/forward AJ Hopkins (Florida SouthWestern State College), sophomore guard Afan Trnka (Eastern Florida State College), sophomore guard/forward Andrija Bukumirović (Eastern Florida State College), junior guard Matija Žužić (Eastern Florida State College), junior guard Josué Grullon (Daytona State College), redshirt senior forward Vladimer Salaridze (UC Riverside), sophomore guard Carlos Cortijo (Eastern Florida State College) and freshman guard Pedro Santos (Colégio Júlio Dinis) on the Skyhawk roster in Year One of the Shulman Era.
