Union Men’s Cross Country Finishes 6th at Rhodes College Cross Country Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Union University men’s cross country team posted a sixth-place finish in the Rhodes College Cross Country Invitational. The 8K event took place at Shelby Farms and featured 18 teams with 187 runners.

Union’s Aaron Fynaardt was the fourth fastest individual in the meet with a time of 25:18. Mississippi College’s Christian Balcer won the race with a time of 25:06. Also in the top 20 for Union was senior Ryan Keeton with a 15th place finish at a time of 26:19.

The top three teams in the race included Gulf South Conference foe Mississippi College in first, Berry College in second, and Memphis in third. Union’s sixth-place finish was ahead of GSC foes Christian Brothers (7th) and Trevecca Nazarene (10th).

Finishing out the Union team was Tristan Kelly in 23rd (26:33), Noah Jinks in 85th (28:45), Riley Garrison 93rd (28:55), Caleb Cook 94th (29:02), Benjamin Blackwood 101st (29:16), Kaden Moseley 120th (30:07), Garrett Robison 121st (30:09), Luke Winkleman 128th (30:33), William Craig 133rd (30:53), and Jonathan Litscher 157th (33:32).

Up next for Union will be the Louisville Cross Country Classic in Louisville, Ky. October 5.
