MARTIN, Tenn. – Fans of the University of Tennessee at Martin basketball teams will get an exclusive first peek at the 2024-25 squads on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the Skyhawk Madness event sponsored by Leaders Credit Union. The program will be held at 6 p.m. inside the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center.
With both the UT Martin women’s and men’s squads coming off historic seasons, this free fun-filled event will officially kick off hoops season for Skyhawk Nation. The UT Martin’s women’s team earned a trip to the 2024 NCAA Tournament while the Skyhawk men’s program won a share of the 2023-24 Ohio Valley Conference regular season championship.
Each roster will be introduced while both the women’s and men’s teams will hold brief intrasquad scrimmages. The UT Martin men’s squad will hold a dunk contest while both teams will conduct a three-point contest.
A halfcourt shot for the chance to win a $500 scholarship – sponsored by the UT Martin Student Government Association – is also on the itinerary. Door prizes courtesy of Flight Crew will additionally be awarded for Skyhawk students.
Both teams will wrap up the evening with an autograph session while the UT Martin band and cheer squads will be on hand throughout to provide an authentic gameday atmosphere.
Season tickets are now on sale online through the Skyhawk Ticket Office at https://utmsports.com/tickets. General admission tickets begin at $100 while reserved chairback seats ($175) and corporate packages ($750 for six chairback seats) are additionally available. A UT Martin faculty/staff chairback seat season pass is on sale for $100 with a six-digit personnel number required at the time of purchase.
