Union Volleyball Drops Road Match At Trevecca Nazarene

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On Oct. 22, the Union University volleyball team traveled to Nashville to face Trevecca Nazarene University. In their first meeting this season, the Trojans defeated the Lady Bulldogs 3-1, and the same result occurred in their second matchup on Tuesday night with Union winning the first set 25-23 and dropping the next three (21-25, 19-25, 19-25). The Lady Bulldogs’ overall record now stands at 5-14 overall (3-7 GSC), while the Trojans improve to 9-13 overall (6-5 GSC).

Reese OwensVanja Stefanovic, and Jordan Moore topped the Union leaderboard in kills for the match with nine, eight, and six, respectively. Moore also led in blocks with a total of seven. Gracie Tacker and Dylan Tolliver each had two aces, tying for most in the match for the Lady Bulldogs. Tolliver led in digs with 13, while Ashley Pruitt collected the most assists with 18, followed by Tacker with 14.

Up next, Union returns home for a doubleheader against Valdosta State University on Oct. 25. The first match is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m., and the second match is slated for 6:00 p.m.
