JACKSON, Tenn. – The Lane College volleyball team picked up two wins over conference rivals Central State and Kentucky State this weekend.
It was a dominant performance by Lane, sweeping both opponents in straight sets. The wins move the Dragons in to second place in the SIAC West as they enter the final week of the regular season.
Kyra Gaston paced the attack for Lane, finishing 24.5 points over the two games including 21 kills. Her hitting percentage was especially impressive as the junior had only three attack errors in 35 attempts.
Syraia Harvey led the way with 27 assists and Shaniah Jones added 25 assists.
Lane will host LeMoyne-Owen on Saturday night inside J.F. Lane Gymnasium. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
