BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – For the first time this season, a member of the UT Martin Women’s Basketball team has been named as the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. Shae Littleford picked up the honor after leading the Skyhawks to win over Arkansas State Sunday.
Littleford led UT Martin against the Red Wolves with a season-high 27 points, going 11-for-14 from the field and 4-for-6 from beyond the arc, as well as tallying a game-high five steals. In addition, she added three assists, two rebounds and was a perfect 1-for-1 at the free throw line. The honor is the second of her career for the Charleston, Illinois native, last winning in February of 2023.
Littleford and the Skyhawks open OVC play Thursday at Morehead State, followed by a trip to Evansville Saturday to take on Southern Indiana.
