Jackson, Tenn. – The Sports731 Network is proud to unveil its broadcast team for the upcoming Jackson-Madison County Game of the Week coverage: Rusty Ellis will handle play-by-play duties, with Rob Williford returning as color commentator.

Ellis, Sports Director for the Sports731 Network, brings years of experience in high school sports media. Most recently, he served as the voice of Peabody Golden Tide Football during the 2024 season. His passion for both sports and broadcasting makes him the perfect fit to lead coverage for the JMCSS crew.

“We’re excited to bring this level of coverage to high school football fans in Jackson and Madison County,” said Ellis. “Rob’s football IQ and passion for the game make him a fantastic part of this team. I’m looking forward to what we’ll bring to the broadcast each week.”

Williford, a respected figure in West Tennessee athletics, returns to the booth with a deep knowledge of the local football scene and a passion for high school sports. A proud South Side High School alum, Williford has a deep-rooted connection to the Jackson-Madison County School System. Seeing JMCSS athletics thrive in recent years has only strengthened his passion for the role and his commitment to spotlighting student-athletes in the community.

“I’m grateful to be a part of the Sports731 Network and excited to continue telling the stories of these incredible student-athletes,” said Williford. “As a South Side graduate, it means a lot to help shine a light on the success happening across JMCSS athletics.”
