
ELSAH, Ill. – The Lane College Track and Field team had a standout performance at the Jim Crafton Training Center this past weekend, breaking multiple school records at the Principia College Relays with several first-place finishes. Here are the top results:
Top Finishes:
- Austin McCall put on an electrifying performance, securing 1st place in the 200 meters with a time of 22.23, topping a field of 49 competitors.
- McCall also tied the facility record in the 300 meters, finishing in 1st place with a time of 35.08, out of 39 runners.
- The 4×200 meter relay team (Aprileous Robinson, Jacob Jones, Arviance Leflore, Jeremiah Malbroue) captured 1st place with a time of 1:33.28.
- In the 4×400 meter relay, the team of Aprileous Robinson, Jai Harden, Ezekiel Miller, and Austin McCall claimed 1st place with a school-record time of 3:29.52.
School Records:
- Xavier Heard set a new school record in the shot put with a throw of 46′ 5.5″, finishing 3rd overall out of 32 athletes.
- Jay Summers set a new school record in the 35lb weight throw, reaching 42′ 9.75″.
- Arviance Leflore broke the school long jump record with a leap of 20′ 3.5″.
- Victor Kiprotich ran a school-record mile time of 4:32, finishing 6th in a field of 52 runners.
- Ezekiel Miller posted a new school record in the 60-meter high hurdles with a time of 9.08.
Overall, Lane College athletes showcased incredible talent, setting personal and team records while maintaining a strong presence across all events. The weekend’s results are a testament to the team’s dedication and hard work as they continue to build momentum for the rest of the season.
